The hill of Montjuic in Barcelona is a place full of surprises, there is a lot more to discover than one would think. Between all the famous sights such as Montjuic Castle, El Poble Espanyol or the Olimpic stadium you can find a place unknown for many people: La Caseta del Migdia.
This is not a monument or a sight but a place to relax, have a picnic or a drink with the kids just enjoying the fresh temperature of the woods and the view of the sea.
From the car park, you can go up the hill to the Caseta.
In the area near the car park there are some tables available to have a picnic.
There is quite a lot of seating so you shouldn’t have any problem to get a table for drinks in the afternoon but you should book if you want to have dinner.
From the Caseta there is a path through the woods which leads you to Montjuïc Castle.
